I. Design inspiration
Based on the design of a parallelogram linkage mechanism, combined with a double gear synchronous drive, it is specially designed for the end of a small mechanical arm, achieving stable clamping with parallel opening and closing. It is suitable for science and technology projects and robot competitions, and combines the demonstration of mechanical principles with practical grasping functions.
II. 3D printing process
The main frame, linkage rods, and clamping jaws are made of PLA filament, and the gears can be selected with PETG to enhance their wear resistance. A clearance of 0.3mm is left at the gear engagement position, and a fitting allowance of 0.1mm is left at the linkage rod hinge holes. There are no large-area overhanging curved surfaces, and only a small amount of support is added to the tip of the clamping jaws.
III. Structure and Function
The double gears synchronously drive the connecting rod mechanism, ensuring that the clamping jaws always remain in a parallel open and close state, providing more stable gripping. The servo motor is fixed to the rear of the machine body, and a single servo motor can drive the clamping jaws to perform various actions.
