A boat model I designed using Tinkercad
The boat floats, has a moveable steering wheel and has a trapdoor at the back that opens and closes
Problems I encountered (I use a halot-one cl-60 resin printer):
The first time I printed the model I did it with the round bit at the top which meant that the supports had trouble sticking to the bottom of the boat, I'm not entirely sure what happened however the boat either fell off or it decided not to print the boat on the supports because it wasn't possible so I ended up with an oval at the bottom of my printer and some supports at the top.
How I solved it: I just had to flip the boat upside down so that the supports had a flat surface to cling on to (this actually saved 5 minutes printing time too!)
another problem I encountered was that the cabin at the top caused it to lean forwards when it was in the water and keel over
How I solved it: I used the drainage hole at the back to hold a metal ball bearing. If you have no ball bearings or you want it to be more balanced, feel free to edit the model to have some weight at the back underneath the boat or something.
I hope you enjoy my model, happy printing!
