Please enjoy this slightly overengineered pill cutter. We were recently blessed with ridiculously tiny pills which need to be chopped in half to properly titrate dosages over the course of a month. I took to printing a few pill cutter models, and was quickly disappointed by some of thems. So, as it goes, if you want it done right, do it yourse.. kidding, I'm not some genius, I'm sure those models work for other people, but I'm too OCD to let good enough be good enough, so I overdid it in my custom model.

Features:

• Sidewalls around cutting area to prevent small pill bits from launching everywhere in your kitchen/bathroom.

• Robust hinge construction that isn't way too large for my sensibilities.

• Easily replaceable blades retained by a small bracket.

• It even has some ridges to make it easier to safely open and close without your fingers slipping.

Parts List:

• 3 x M3x4x5 heatset inserts

• 2 x M3x6mm FHCS (flat head cap screw - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807652024221.html)

• 1 x M3x20mm FHCS (see above link and select M3x20mm)

• 1 x standard razor blade replacement (not the utility knife kind, the rectangular guys)

• Note: You can probably substitute other M3 screw types, but the model is designed to fit best with FHCS screws.

Assembly Notes:

1. Put the heatsets in the top and into the left side of the hinge.

2. Slide hinge together, and thread in the long screw from the right.

3. Insert blade from the top, and push til seated (careful, don't cut yourself), then fix bracket in place, and tighten two smaller screws all the way down to push the blade into the perfect position.

4. Cut pills.

Printing Notes:

• I printed in ABS for extra durability, but PETG/PLA should also work

• 4 perimeters and 4 top and bottom layers

• 20% infill just to keep it nice and rigid

• 0.4mm nozzle (nothing special here, I sized tolerances and wall thickness to fit well with a 0.4mm nozzle, so any smaller nozzles would provide more detail but aren't strictly necessary.

• Printed in about 1hr10m on my Voron 0.2, and the tolerances on everything were perfect straight off the bed
