This is used to add structure to a cable assembly comprised of 8 cables, all 3.5mm in diameter. The connectors are 0.5 inches, so the shell is wide enough to fit those through one at a time. Works great to keep them from getting jumbled up and for knowing which cable is which. These are used in a calibration oil bath. I put 4 of them on about 2 meters of cable.

Should be press fit. You could scale this for different sizes of cable but I have not tried it yet.
