Introduction
Warping is a constant battle when working with high-temp materials. If you’ve ever perfected your bed adhesion only to watch the entire build plate pull away from the magnetic base, you know exactly how frustrating that can be. After dealing with this repeatedly while printing Polycarbonate, ABS, and ASA, I designed these clips to provide some much-needed mechanical reinforcement.
Material Recommendations
For the best results, I recommend printing these in PC-CF or another material with a high Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT). While ABS or ASA might work temporarily, they will eventually lose their structural integrity if you consistently run your bed at 100C or higher.
Safety & Clearance
When positioning the clips, please keep the following in mind:
Clearance: Ensure the clips do not interfere with your PINDA probe or the movement of the hot end.
Toolpath: Verify that your model’s footprint and the tool head’s travel path won't result in a collision. A crash will likely trigger a system error and halt your print.
Monitoring: It is highly recommended to watch at least the first few layers to confirm everything clears safely.
