This Mug Adapter was designed specifically for the IKEA LÅNESPELARE Cup Holder. People familiar with the product know the frustration of not being able to use this "cup" holder with their a typical "mug" with handle. My issue is that I love my iced coffee and this cup holder holds my 32oz drink perfectly. On colder days, however, I love having a nice warm mug of hot coffee (or even hot tea lately). The LÅNESPELARE's appears to have a cut out for mug handles however, none of my standard sized mugs fit properly. They never touch the bottom of the holder and rests it's weight on the base of the handle – leaning in an angle. That's a disaster waiting to happen at my work desk - especially with a hot beverage.

I question if this is just a me problem but, I can't be the only one - at least not here in the US.

I have seen other adapters for the LÅNESPELARE that use a cylindrical / circular design (kinda like a hockey puck) but I wanted some that didn't use a lot of filament, wasn't a pain to take out and could be stowed away when not in use.

Key design features:
• Easily add and remove using the handle. (No more using a paper clip or pencil to dig out your hockey puck adapter!)
• Handle shape is also a stow away hook. With handle facing upwards, hook the adapter onto the LÅNESPELARE clamp brace. It's close by whenever you need it.
• Non flat top surface prevents any "vacuuming" that could potentially connect to the bottom of your beverage due to condensation or otherwise flat surface.
