I needed a base to work with. Now you have options. This was as close to what I needed, that I could get. I of course, modified it to fit my needs.
I use this knob every day I use the Pelonis brand fan, which is nearly every day. The key to fit is getting into the back. I just kept resizing till the shaft fit properly, then combined the two & made the final product.

It's a bit rough, as I didn't adjust the settings as yet. I do find that it gives a great grip, especially when my hands are wet. The color changes are because that was the handy filament at the time. Which is, color changing.

Keep in mind that this will take "a beating" because you turn it.

In the 3d Builder program, I cut off the knob & made several shafts till it fit in to that small hole. After that, I merged the knob head (this design) back on, with a few pieces to produce these results.

The printer broke, but the knob is still working very well!
