This designed was based on a very similar design I found on here and printed that allowed a gopro style camera to be attached to a strap. Unfortunately, I printed it without taking into account that the camera I use isn't a gopro but a PIXPRO ORBIT, which attaches with a screw. After this occurring to me immediately before an airsoft game, I decided to design my own. There is no screw included, you will need to supply your own short screw or print one, such as Waverunner62's 1/4 Knurled Camera Screw or jazzychad's Knurled 1/2-20 Camera Mount Screw (which I used for reference when creating this design.)
Additionally, nuts and short bolts will be required for mounting to a strap.
The use case for this design is intended to be strapping the previously mentioned camera to a plate carrier or other tactical vest shoulder strap for use in paintball and airsoft. The connection method should keep the camera from accidently moving out of alignment.
This thing is inspired by and heavily based off of what I believe to be an earlier version of turboVIRGIN69420's Gopro Backpack Mount. Seriously, though... 69 and 420? That's double cringe. To each their own, though. I'm not certain I have much room to complain.
11/21/24 Update: Model printed successfully with no issues. Space for nut is minimal, necessitating tightening by hand. I'm not terribly thrilled about this. I'm thinking a screw with a round head intended to be tightened with a screwdriver rather than a hexagonal head will solve this problem. There really is no other option apart from a substantial redesign. Which, I think, would be a little silly. It might be tightened very carefully with a pair of needlenose pliers, which is not the ideal solution but should also be workable.
