Summary
Custom housing for the XR2206 function generator housing.
this model is only designed to use sine because the square/triangle waves can be non-existent/bad quality depending on board revision
-=- the board needs to be assembled differently. -=-
-power jack, rotary switch, pots and outputs are to be connected via 22AWG wire, not directly to the board
-add a toggle switch in-line with the power jack, ensure you leave enough slack to reach across both ends of the shell
-do not use stock pots. use panel mount pots of the same value, (pin 1 of pot is on the leftmost contact on the board when viewed from the top)
-use a 5 throw rotary switch to change frequency bands. common lead can be soldered to any pin on the right hand side of the header pads, solder pin 1-5 on the switch going down from the top on the header
-use banana jacks for output.
-solder a jumper between the sine pins on the wave selection header
-solder a jumper between both ground pins on the power input
-=- assembly -=-
-mount the rotary switch, pots, power switch and banana jacks to the front panel pieces with included washers and nuts
-glue/epoxy the power jack into the notch in the back shell (i recommend mounting upside-down to avoid interference with the base)
-glue/epoxy/mount the board to the base
-(optional) glue/epoxy some small metal wall brackets to the base to add weight
-glue all shell pieces together
-(optional) add a label to the front to show frequency bands for each position
1: 65kHz - 1mHz
2: 3kHz - 65kHz
etc...
